My final outing of 2018 was an unplugged night in the bar - lots of chatting and background noise, so I picked mainly up-tempo stuff that I could bash out. Actually, it was good fun and I enjoyed playing.

It was our Christmas party, I was MC, soundman and opened with a couple of my tunes, with Simon Farmer on sax and Ella on percussion. I joined Heather and Simon on a version of 'Will you' by Hazel O'Connor. A great evening - See Heather's Blog.

Goodbye Green Man: A first outing this year for these three songs. Sadly, it was too noisy again. It's a good night on the social side, but I'm not enjoying playing, which is a real shame. I'll probably give it a miss from now on. Click on song titles for videos by UK Ray.

Snow stopped play - I was on early and got my two songs - it was snowing heavily outside, so most people just got one song before we all headed home at 9:30 - I enjoyed the drive home, very serene. Tuesday at the Blackboys was cancelled due to the weather conditions.

I was MC and played my old Shadow electric guitar, it gave me a chance to revisit two old songs that don't really lend themselves to acoustic. It was a great night with 15 performers.
